Chapter 1-The Imbalance of Elements
Resistance Log #8:
Hey! It appears to be my turn for this log. Okay then, well I’m Razu Urobi and I fight for the Resistance. Of course we all know about the Great War. This is new to us, the people of this planet, because this is our first war. Our people were always peaceful; I guess it just grew tiresome for the enemy. Um, let’s see… I’ve lost my family and my good friend, Urosu Avieo, but I’ve met with new friends. I don’t know what else to put, never really was one for words on paper, so I will finish this entry now…
Razu stood up and grabbed his log off the table. He was but a teenager, the age of seventeen. His medium-length chocolate hair was slightly spiky and dropped only to the bottom of his neck. He had his civilian clothes on as they weren’t in battle at the time. His loose emerald colored silk t-shirt hung over his xanadu, a kind of grayish teal color, silk pants. His clothes were to his fitting; loose but tight enough to stay close to his body. His shoes were covered in metal for protection, which is the only part of his battle armor he is wearing now.
He walked out the small room, so small it could be considered a closet, and the candle lit behind him blew out. He continued down the short hall toward the light source on the other side. His shoes were leaving footprints on top of the other footprints already in the dirt path. When Razu reached the end, two kids, a boy and girl, raced out in front of him, giving him a slight surprise. He walked fully out of the dirt tunnel and into the larger dome. The room was small but big enough to house the eight members of the Resistance. A few features stuck out quickly, features such as a small pond on Razu’s left and eight rock rectangle boxes lying each a foot off the ground evenly spread out. The two kids were still running around chasing each other. The boy was ten years old, as so was the girl, his twin sister. He wore similar clothes to Razu, a silk t-shirt, though the color of sky blue, and shorts colored with deep sky blue. His cobalt blue hair was short and slightly fluffed up. Yan Hydris, Yi’s twin sister, had shoulder length cobalt blue hair, which flowed straight down. Her outfit was exactly like her brother’s, including the same color. They both were running around barefoot, catching dirt and dust all over them, giving a tan color.
“Hey Yi, Yan, where is your brother at?” Razu called out to them, after looking around the room only to see one other person sleeping on their bed. Yi stopped running and looked over to Razu.
“He’s outside with Auro.” Yi said and started to run again.
“Okay, thanks.” Razu replied. He walked through the room over to the pathway opposite from the hall he came from. On his way he placed his paper down next to the bed closest to the exiting hall. He traveled down the dirt filled path for five minutes, finally reaching the end. It was a dead end with a rock wall blocking it off. Razu pushed the rock out a meter with a force of air. The sunlight flashed in from Razu’s left and his eyes had to adjust quickly. He walked into the doorway that was sealed and turned directly right. The outside world emitted around him; there were mostly mountains and hills surrounding their hideout. He stepped onto the plateau outside the secret cave, which was followed by a voice speaking out to him, “Hey Razu. Finally done with your entry?”
“Yeah. I don’t see why we wrote them anyway.” Razu complained.
“Eh. Just in case we need files from this war. I don’t know why but I feel like I should document this,” the earlier voice explained.
“You and your weird senses Auro,” a deeper voice snickered.
Auro Lucuo, the Resistance warrior who got the others to write their logs, was a well rounded individual, aged at thirty eight. He had a quick thinking process, close to being smartest in the group, and still was quite powerful. His physique was composed of his lava colored hair, long sleeved flame shirt, and crimson colored pants. His relatively short hair spiked up and out downward. His clothes held the loose properties of his teammates’, with a black stripe crossing over his shirt from his left shoulder to his right hip. Auro was wearing his protected shoes like Razu was and his left hand was covered by an auburn color glove. He was standing in front of the slightly pushed out boulder, on the side closer to Razu. On the other side of the boulder was Yiras, who was the brother of the twins, older by thirteen years. Yiras looked like a grown version of Yi, with longer hair and the armored shoes of his comrades added.
Right after Yiras’s comment, an unknown figure landed holding another person in his arms. “We need to go.” The words vibrated through the air. This is Samuel Soceso, a warrior, aged twenty four, who met with Razu a few days before they met the Resistance. His attire consisted of a blue indigo colored cotton sleeveless shirt and pants. He wore a cadmium orange undershirt, with the sleeves extending down his upper arms, belt, and wristbands along with gray metal covered boots. He had wild short black hair, which was matched with his black eyes.
The woman being held was unconscious, named Onyl Kheo. She was the age of twenty five and dressed up for fighting. Her bronze colored hair was pulled back into a pony tail so it would not pester her during battle. The rest of her straight hair continued down somewhat beyond her neck. Her bangs were naturally curled to her right, which is easier for her. She had on the battle shoes like most of the others and had a black scarf wrapped around her neck. She wore sepia colored shorts and from under her armor can be seen her elbow length sleeved tan shirt. Her battle armor was being worn from her and Samuel’s recent return.
All of the Resistance’s armor looked the same, a breastplate that has the upper plates and the lower section, divided into multiple areas: the middle golden stomach plate, the armor’s bottom ring, and the plain pearl colored sides. Straps held up the armor, as the yellow straps were connected at the top of both the front and back about equal distance between the neck and shoulders. Finally, a symbol was placed on the top left plate, three curved lines that each overlap the next, forming a ring that doesn’t connect.
Yiras quickly set off, running into the cave. Auro followed and Samuel put Onyl down on the ground. “What happened Sam?” Razu asked, clueless of what happened.
“Fezwo found us again. We were able to catch him but he got Onyl.”
Inside the Resistance’s hideout, Yi and Yan were resting from their running around, and the other warrior was still out cold. His features were made of crimson hair, which parts to both sides of his head, small rectangular glasses, armor with a long sleeve, arsenic colored shirt underneath, and vermilion colored cotton pants, along with everyone’s favorite armored shoes!
Yiras ran in, followed by Auro. “Hey, pack up you two. We have to go.” Yiras stated grabbing everyone’s bags. Due to being use to moving around quickly a lot, all of the Resistance kept their bags packed for a faster move. Auro pushed the sleeping person off their bed, which sponged up after he fell.
“Owatio, wake up.”
Owatio rose up rubbing the back of his head. “Geez Auro, what did I do this time?”
“Hurry, we have to go; we’ve been found again.” Auro rushed out and grabbed his belongings along with Razu’s and Samuel’s. Owatio grabbed his and Onyl’s stuff. Everyone rushed out except Yiras, who stayed to break down what remained. He was standing in the doorway of the exit after checking for anything left behind.
“Here we go!” Yiras said, motioning his arms away from the pond. The water sprouted out and started to rapidly fill up the lair. Yiras turned about and ran out, leaving the water to release freely and wildly.

Chapter 2-The New Hideout
The Resistance traveled west away from their hideout because the enemy had discovered them. They walked over five kilometers away through mountainous terrain and ended up at shore. The rocky, steep slopes prevented them from reaching the water, unless they jumped more than the two-story distance down. “Onyl, you think you could get us down?” Yiras questioned.
Onyl, who was now awake, answered back, “Of course I can!” She stomped her foot down, creating multiple cracks inches away. The mini earthquake caused the rocky cliff they were occupying to break apart from the main rock. She motioned her arms toward the loose boulder, and she focused on it with her hands opened fully. The boulder collapsed toward the liquid bottom.
Samuel and Yiras focused their attention on the water below, trying to lighten the impact. The newly formed island landed like hitting a sponge, causing the calm sea to slightly vibrate outward. A dark figure fell in front of them, floating above the water, forcing waves to ripple in every direction. The figure, Fezwo Bukyi, had a stern face, a face ready for action. His outfit composed merely of his dark green polyester pants tied up by his traditional black wool belt, covered with sea green designs much like a curved capital letter n. His arrogance was shown due to his lack of armor. His muscles were larger and more defined than the normal person’s would be. His dark, almost black hair was spiked up, containing about five spread out spikes and a bang hanging over the left side of his forehead.
Onyl immediately forced a plateau out from the cliff to the right of them to fight on. The plateau was at least twenty meters on each side and was rounded at the corners. Auro and Owatio jumped onto the platform, knowing they would fend off any enemy. Samuel motioned his arms to his right, commanding the water to smash into Fezwo. He was forced closer to the platform, and Samuel pushed the small isle away and jumped off onto the sea. “You guys go on ahead. We’ll catch up after this guy.” Samuel’s determination glistened to finally destroy this oppressor. Onyl swayed her body to leap off the rock but Yiras restrained her.
“You’re too weak to fight him right now. They can stop him.” Onyl relaxed, showing Yiras she won’t interfere. Yiras pushed the water around them, forcing their slab to move away from the battle.
“Heh, you think you can take me down. Even with those two you’ll still die!” Fezwo yelled as he charged at Samuel. Samuel lifted himself up to his left with a bubble of water. Fezwo stopped quickly and blasted faster at Sam’s new location. Samuel forged his guard, knowing he was going to be hit. Finally reaching him, Fezwo released his fist forward, smashing it into Samuel’s chest. Sam slid back a few yards. He used the sea to steady himself and stop his motion created by the wind-packed punch.
“Throw some fireballs at him Owatio.” Auro commanded. He set his hand ablaze and formed a sphere. Owatio copied him and they both leaned back. They shifted their weight back forward and released the ball-shaped flames. They repeated the process multiple times, throwing a large amount at Fezwo. Unluckily for them, they were limited to the plateau due to their fire nature ability.
Fezwo simply blew the fireballs into extinction with his gusts. “You guys can’t win. I’m superior in every—” Fezwo bragged, just to be smashed upon his head. Razu was floating where Fezwo was before he had been bashed down into the rocky water below.
Fezwo bolted out of the calm waters, erupting violent and chaotic waves. He stared straight into Razu’s eyes. He released his anger and started to calm down. “You should’ve stayed with the others. Now you will die early.” Fezwo was concentrating too much on Razu to remember the others were there still, and Samuel noticed, rising the water up to grab Fezwo’s legs. Fezwo came back into reality, remembering his other opponents, and forced air outward from the lower half of his body.
Samuel’s attack proved worthless, so he decided to attack head on. Fezwo still paid no attention to him and easily brushed him aside with his wind. Samuel stopped the result of Fezwo’s attack and used a small wave to get on the plateau. He landed beside Owatio. Razu descended to the plateau and landed next to Auro, forming a line on the edge of the plateau.
“Razu, what are you doing here?” Auro questioned, keeping his eyes on Fezwo.
“I have something personal with this guy.” Razu replied with detest.
Auro let out a sigh, thinking of what to do. “Wha--” Auro started to speak. Fezwo rocketed at Auro and knocked him back, stopping him from talking. Fezwo forced a large amount of air from his body as the center point, trying to push the others away from him.
“I don’t have time for you all to chit chat,” Fezwo exclaimed. He dashed at Auro, changing his first target to him. By now, Auro had regained his balance and focus. He set both of his hands ablaze and readied himself for close combat with Fezwo. Auro punched forward with his left arm, anticipating Fezwo to be hit. Fezwo blocked the attack with his right hand and released a gust over Auro’s arm, vanquishing Auro’s flame. Auro threw his other arm at Fezwo, while entangled with him. Fezwo smacked his arm away with his left hand. Instantly after, Razu smashed Fezwo across the head with his locked hands as one fist. Fezwo hit the ground and slid to the edge of the plateau.
“I’m not letting you get away for killing my brother.” Razu raged.
Fezwo rolled over and laughed. “I never killed your brother. Lucky bastard was able to get away from me.” Auro slammed his fiery fists down onto Fezwo’s stomach, forcing Fezwo’s body to rise up. Razu punched him directly in the face afterward, which knocked him unconscious.
Razu turned around and walked away from the battle’s end. Samuel and Owatio were standing on the opposite side of the plateau. Auro pushed Fezwo’s body into the water to drown him, finishing him off for good. “I think he gave in and let us win.” Owatio stated as he started to center himself on top the ledge.
“Eh, he could have. It did seem easier after Razu got here,” Auro suggested. “Well let’s catch up to the others.” Auro stated, letting loose fire onto the rock to separate it from the cliff. Owatio helped Auro out and they broke the plateau off. Samuel and Razu then moved the newly formed island away, heading into the horizon where the others drifted out. Auro skimmed a thought through his mind, ‘Fezwo was most likely ordered to let Razu know his brother was alive. Why, though?’
They came across another island of the Western Isles. This island, from where they stood, was flat and had multiple forests spread about. Auro quickly spotted the others’ flat boulder slightly in the nearest forest. Their plateau came up on shore, hitting roughly into the ground. They were flung forward, though each of them regained balance easily.
Samuel and Razu forced the plateau they rode on out to sea, letting it drift out. Auro and Owatio walked up to the rock to find the symbol the others left behind. It resembled a backwards letter c. “They went up shore.” Auro stated before he rotated to his right. “Let’s go.” They traveled up the coast to locate and regroup with their comrades.
Farther north of Auro’s group, Yiras’s group was setting up their new hideout. Onyl created a cavern down into the ledge, and she slowly formed the path to slide into a dome that stood midway from the ocean on the cliff. “Ahh, I’m finally done,” Onyl walked out informing the others. They went inside and relaxed, waiting for their teammates to return.
The rise of the Amber Moon was coming close as Auro, Owatio, Razu, and Samuel journeyed north. The process of the planet’s moon transition occurred over a period of around seventy-three hours each. The rotation lasted over one hundred and forty six hours as the moons orbited equal distance out and around Uaneolt.
“The Azure Moon is setting.” Owatio stated, yawning afterward. It was a quiet trip until and after Owatio commented.
“I don’t think they would have headed much farther. They might be up this ledge.” Auro guessed when they stumbled into a wall in the path of dirt and sand. The rocky border extended farther into the island than it went up. Auro finished examining it and turned around to Razu. “Can you give us a lift up?”
Razu replied back, “Sure, I might not get you guys up there perfectly.” He waved his arms up into the sky after concentrating on his targets. The gales slid under his teammates and lifted straight up, sending them flying to the top of the ledge. They quickly shifted their body weight forward as much as possible to be able to get more of their body on the ledge. Each landed on the edge at their waist and climbed the rest. Razu soon followed, jumping in the sky above. He could effortlessly move himself onto the ledge farther than the others, so he grounded himself away from the ledge.
“Thanks, now let’s hurry up.” Auro said, sprinting off to find the others, feeling that they were close by. Samuel and Razu followed soon after, yet Owatio walked at the same speed as before, showing no interest in running with the others.
Auro stopped noticing a familiar symbol on a nearby boulder. He walked up to it and examined it, coming to the conclusion of where their teammates lie. Samuel caught up and stopped his paced run. “They’re here.” Auro explained and waited for the others.
Razu ran in from the opposite direction because he ran past the location and Auro. He stopped and waited as Owatio arrived into sight from walking. Onyl opened the ground below to force the others to fall in. She knew it was them from spying on them previously before Razu ran up.
They all fell in and Onyl closed the entrance into the new hideout. They all greeted each other, starting with Onyl running up and hugging Samuel excitedly. The new location resembled the old cave from the set-up of beds and the fountain. Outside the entrance slide and the closable gap in the wall that allowed them to view the ocean and any dangers that might arrive, their homes were alike.
Chapter 3-The Water Union
Everyone was gathered outside. They stood in a group almost each one next to the other, as they looped around the middle person. “It’s time I head back to my home land. I have to help fight against them there,” Samuel announced as the central focus point of the group.
“But you don’t have to go alone,” Onyl argued quickly after.
“It’s better if I go alone; you guys need to stay together. I can handle myself,” Samuel responded. He knew that his homeland was a dangerous place, and he was trying to prevent his friends from dying.
“Okay. I know we can’t persuade you now.” Yiras said. Everyone became slightly sadder than before, now knowing that Samuel is going to leave alone. Onyl opened her mouth to say something, but she saw Yiras look at her. She stopped and waited. Samuel turned and started walking south.
Days passed on as Samuel journeyed south and the others waited in their hideout. Yi and Yan rested on the ground as they viewed the outside world. Onyl, Yiras, Owatio, and Auro sat at a small round plateau, using it as a table. “Here’s the plan we have so far, since we had to fix it from Sam leaving.” Yiras explained. There was a map of the planet on the rock platform that was covered in military strategy and formations to attack with. “We should head north to the Air Empire to break it down. Nothing will happen if we only keep holding onto the fire lands.”
They all agreed upon the plan and started to pack their items. Onyl forced the rock slab to cover the window they had for light. They left and Onyl closed the tunnel completely, leaving the hideout in tact. They jumped off the cliff with Onyl’s island she created, and they landed in the water. Yiras pushed them north as the others relaxed.
As for Samuel, he had just reached the Water Union. He secretly snuck onto the land, expecting a fight quickly. The moist ground soaked around his shoes as he quietly moved forward on land. The flat terrain didn’t allow for much cover, being open field all around. He started to travel east toward his home island. A shadowed figure was following far behind, at least five minutes behind.
Many days continued to pass on while the two groups traveled away from one another. The Resistance came upon the shore of the closest Air Empire island, also the biggest. Where they landed was relatively flat but in the background, mountains rose high and all around.
“You all ready?” Auro questioned. Everyone nodded and they continued inland to reach the Empire’s leader. They were ready to take down the evil in the land of air. They were in formation while walking along the paths: Auro in front, the twins in the middle with Onyl on their left and Yiras on their right, and Owatio in the back.
Two warriors were relaxing on cliffs nearby, watching them pass by. “Hey Duero, we got trespassers,” the larger fighter stated. They got up and readied themselves for combat. The holder of the previous words was Boll Drion. He is the more powerful one of the two. He wears armor made of earth material. His partner, Duero Iyoe, is the faster one of them. He wears a tunic from his village, which allows for better speed.
Boll slammed his foot into the ground, creating an imprint in the rock below. A crack sped at the Resistance rapidly and before it reached them, a pillar expanded forth and slammed into Yiras’s side. He was forced unconscious and fell into the twins. “I thought I felt their presence!” Onyl blamed herself for Yiras’s injury. Yi and Yan grabbed Yiras and took him away at the command of Auro.
“You guys want to fight?” Auro questioned firmly. He set his arms ablaze and charged at them. Duero jumped down to their level, a good ten feet below. He blasted air out his hands at Auro, erasing his flames. “An Air and Earth, huh?” Auro mumbled to himself.
Onyl jumped up to fight with Boll. She sprouted a spear from the ground upward at Boll. He jumped up and landed on the point before any damage could have occurred. He branched out a spear of his own from Onyl’s. It extended from the middle and quickly pierced outward. Onyl made a wall rise up in front of her to protect herself. The pointed rock pierced a small amount of the thick wall.
Owatio sat still as usual and waited for a moment to strike or counter. Onyl and Auro were matched with the fighting pair. They were trading blows and positions rapidly to fight off the other. Boll kicked up a boulder at Owatio. He set his body on fire and melted the part of the rock that hit him, splitting it into two pieces.
Auro and Duero were punching each other hard and fast, but to no avail on either side did either of them tire. Auro set his right hand on fire as he punched at Duero’s face. Duero responded by jumping back a few feet and steadied himself away.
Luckily for Samuel though, he was growing closer to his destination, reaching the ocean once again on the east coast of the island he traveled upon. He set out over the water, walking on top of it, unaware of the figure that followed him.
Auro was smashed down into the ground, forcing his body to tumble over itself rapidly. He got back up quickly breathing slightly heavier than normal. “Hey Owatio, go help Onyl!”
Owatio nodded and lifted himself in the air with a series of jumps up the cliff. He landed next to Onyl, who was still on the defensive. Owatio released a fire sphere into his hand and held it as he awaited Boll’s defense to fall. Onyl raised a rock wall, pushing Boll’s earth attack back at him. He lifted his own wall, which stopped all the pieces from hitting him. Boll was careful in watching Owatio as he countered and reversed Onyl’s attacks and defenses.
Down below on the walk path, Auro crashed back face-first into the wall of earth. He pulled himself out and set his arms ablaze. His eyes were fierce. He charged back at Duero, trying at full power to stop him alone.
Onyl landed on Auro as he ran. He pushed her off, not aware of whom it was and stood up. He decided to continue on to Duero, assuming the time was short in this battle. Onyl stood back up, with an injured back shown through her cracked armor and posture. She looked up at Boll and Owatio. Astonishment came across her as she saw Boll restricted by Owatio into the near wall. Owatio held his flaming arm in the air, and instantly brought it down into Boll’s chest. Boll struggled in pain and rage, but was unsuccessful in breaking free. He looked into Owatio’s eyes, which he wished he had never done. Fear struck him and he was paralyzed by the sight.
Duero caught glimpse of Boll’s situation while in combat against Auro. He knocked Auro’s arms down, chaining his body to sway downward in effect. Duero leaped up the cliff and landed next to Owatio. He pushed him away just enough to grab Boll and leap higher up the cliff. He looked down at Auro and Onyl at the bottom of the mountain. Without words, he turned his head and leaped into the air and up the mountain at a pace fast enough for no one to successfully follow him.
The Resistance regrouped soon after and waited for Yiras to awake. Onyl carved the cliff in to create a ten-foot deep cave for shelter while they rested. “I didn’t expect to be attacked so fast here.” Auro commented.
Samuel stopped in the open field, ending his travels with the splashes under his feet. He gazed into the open land, starring directly at the village surrounded by oddly-intervallic trees. “Time to take my homeland back from them.” He walked slowly toward his village, ready for his final battle. The stalker came across Samuel’s village, following his footprints in the wet grass. He stopped just as Samuel did, and continued his efforts to the village.
Sam came in range of the guards’ sights quickly and they were ordered to attack him. Their appearances varied from person to person, though they dressed alike with the armor of their section. Samuel easily disposed of the easy threats; he used the water under him to push and knock out the soldiers. Some soldiers created a challenge against him, getting him to momentarily stop to deal with them. The wave of fifteen fell quickly and the leader greeted Samuel at the corner of the village after.
She stood out more than the village guards; her armor was more unique in the same fashion, having spiked shoulder pads and darker colors instead. Her ceil hair was pulled up into a bun, having enough length to pull it up from interference from battle. She had the face of a true fighter, much of why she led the group in this village in the upper islands in the Water Union. “Come back to take this village from me Sam?” she questioned.
“I will,” Samuel spoke firmly.
Their battle began quickly, as she lifted the water from the ground and solidified it. She continued by sharpening their tips and launching them at Sam. Samuel countered by lifting himself into the air with his water beneath him. The ice shards sliced through the water and relocated the particles meters behind Samuel. Sam landed with a splash and whipped the water splashing at the leader. The fight raged on and Samuel was being overcome second by second. Her ice and water attacks were too quick and broke through his evasiveness. He was wounded throughout his body, bleeding softly but surely.
Samuel was becoming exhausted. He could only hold out for so long. She was slightly damaged from the battle but not as much as Sam. She lifted water from the ground again and solidified it. She repeated the process and launched them at Samuel. A gust from where Samuel came from emerged and sent the ice shards back at her. She was cut multiple times and started to bleed.
Sam turned around to see a familiar face, Razu. “What are you doing here?” Razu walked up to him and told him that he decided to travel with him instead. “The others are fine without me anyways,” he assured.
The leader arose from her fall.
“But you don’t have to go alone,” Onyl argued quickly after.
“It’s better if I go alone; you guys need to stay together. I can handle myself,” Samuel responded. He knew that his homeland was a dangerous place, and he was trying to prevent his friends from dying.
